0830 Navy Blue - Derwent Inktense - Pencils

Derwent Inktense Pencils are our best water-soluble pencil ever! You can use them dry but mix them with water and the colour turns into vibrant ink. Once it’s dry the colour is fixed and because its permanent it’s great for using on fabric such as silk and cotton.

How to use: 
Apply the colors dry and then blend with water to achieve a pure and translucent ink-like effect. Use on paper, fabric, silk (even when wet) and various other surfaces.

For a watercolor painting, the dry paint is mixed with a little water to release the pigments for the ink effect. When dry, the paint is permanent and can be supplemented with finer details and vivid colors by using other media. Metal tins with 36 pens contain a non-soluble contour pen that makes permanent contours possible even when using water.
